Manager- Full Product Purchase

Our client is a large French consortium with a turnover of USD 6 billion, that produces small appliances. Notable brand names associated with our client include Krups, Moulinex, Rowenta, and Tefal. A large proportion of their product lines are now manufactured in China. Its Headquarters are based in Lyon, France.

Having accquired 55 per cent  of a major Indian  privately held electrical appliance maker, our client will be launching new businesses under the Indian brand and plans to reach a turnover of INR 500 crores by the end of the first year, from the present turnover of INR 300 crores. Other prominenet accquistions include ‘Supor’ in China and ‘Arno’ in Brazil recently.

• Managing, strategizing,   and controlling all the company’s external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production.
• Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production.
• Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.
• Foster close working relationships with associated departments
• Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spends.
• To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identify and implement improvements.
